OpenAI has landed another news licensing deal with London’s Financial Times. The dirty details of the deal are under wraps but what this does tell us is media companies are not willing to let the AI company train their models on their content for free. As more of these deals pop up and the New York Times’ lawsuit against OpenAI brews in the background, we’ll soon see what the rules of engagement are between AI and content on the internet. Could this deal point to more content deals in OpenAI’s future?
